Rensselaer, IN – State Road 110 will be temporarily closed for seal coating operations starting on Monday, July 29. INDOT maintenance crews will work during daytime hours, with the closure expected to last approximately two days. The official detour will direct traffic via U.S. 231 and State Road 10.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation: Northwest, through traffic should use the designated detour or find alternate routes. Local traffic is advised to exercise caution and adhere to traffic directions in the construction area. This maintenance work is weather-dependent and subject to change.

A scrub seal, similar to a chip seal treatment, will be applied. This involves placing asphalt emulsion and crushed rock on the pavement surface. The process includes using brooms at different angles, eliminating the need for a fog seal treatment.

Motorists should plan for potential delays and stay updated on any schedule changes. Regular updates will be provided to ensure public awareness and safety during this essential road maintenance.
