Cedar Lake, IN – A Crete, Illinois, man wanted on multiple warrants from Texas was arrested in Cedar Lake on Friday.
According to Cedar Lake Police, Officer Alexis Dills observed a white 2001 Ford utility truck with an expired Illinois plate pulling a homemade trailer full of scrap metal. Officer Dills stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Steven Rodarte, 26. Rodarte attempted to flee but was apprehended with the help of a citizen.
Rodarte, wanted on burglary, residential entry, and drug-related charges in Texas, was reportedly found with drug related paraphernalia. He is being held at Lake County Jail awaiting extradition to Texas.
