Binghamton, New York – Residents across the Southern Tier and Central New York can expect another stretch of comfortable summer weather through most of the weekend, with sunshine, warm afternoons and low humidity before showers and thunderstorms become more likely early next week.

Humidity will remain low, creating pleasant conditions for outdoor activities and travel.
Saturday brings another mostly sunny day with highs in the lower to middle 80s across much of Central New York and Northeast Pennsylvania. On Sunday, the weather remains warm with highs again reaching the lower to middle 80s, although an isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out, primarily west of Interstate 81. Most communities are expected to stay dry.
A more noticeable pattern change arrives Monday as showers and thunderstorms become increasingly likely during the afternoon. High temperatures will range from the upper 70s to middle 80s, and periods of rain could affect the evening commute across Binghamton, Ithaca, Oneonta, Elmira, Cortland and nearby communities.
Take advantage of the dry weather through Saturday for outdoor plans, but keep an eye on updated forecasts if you’ll be outside late Sunday or Monday as unsettled weather returns. Additional advisories may be issued if thunderstorm coverage increases.
