Arlington Heights, IL – Arlington Heights police are investigating a reported criminal sexual assault involving a juvenile victim that allegedly occurred Saturday afternoon in a downtown parking garage.
According to the Arlington Heights Police Department, officers received a report of the incident after a teenage victim and her guardian contacted authorities on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
Police said the alleged assault occurred on the top level of the Eastman Parking Garage, located at 155 E. Eastman St. near the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Miner Street.
Investigators said the victim was approached by an unknown individual at approximately 3:30 p.m. The suspect allegedly asked the victim for assistance with an issue involving his vehicle. According to police, the victim entered the suspect’s vehicle, where the alleged sexual assault occurred.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing between 200 and 250 pounds, with dark hair. He was reportedly wearing a black T-shirt and black athletic shorts.
Police described the vehicle as an older-model gray sport utility vehicle. Investigators said limited suspect and vehicle information was available at the time of the initial report.
According to the department, the victim was transported to a local hospital for a precautionary medical evaluation. No additional details regarding the victim’s condition have been released.
Authorities emphasized that the investigation remains active and ongoing. Detectives are continuing to gather evidence, conduct interviews and pursue investigative leads. Officials noted that information currently available is preliminary and may change as the investigation progresses.
