Jackson County, FL – A major narcotics investigation in Marianna led to the seizure of a large of marijuana and THC-related products, with an estimated street value of nearly $190,000, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, investigators executed a search warrant Wednesday, May 6, at a property on Chuck Drive as part of an ongoing case involving a suspect identified as Joseph Sims. During the search, authorities said they discovered approximately 43.36 pounds of suspected marijuana, including about 23 pounds located inside the home.

Investigators also reported recovering roughly 1.23 pounds of THC oil and about 7.66 pounds of THC wax products. Among the items seized was a box of THC wax weighing approximately 1,559 grams.

Authorities said deputies additionally found around 280 individually packaged THC vape cartridges ready for distribution, along with numerous THC-related products packaged in brightly colored containers resembling popular candy and snack brands.

Officials estimate the total street value of the seized наркотics and THC products at approximately $190,000.

According to Sheriff Donnie Edenfield, the packaging of these products raises significant safety concerns, particularly for younger individuals who may mistake them for harmless items.

Sims has been charged with trafficking in cannabis, possession of THC oil with intent to distribute, and possession of THC wax with intent to distribute. Officials said the investigation remains active, and additional charges are possible.
