Hooksett, NH – New Hampshire State Police are renewing calls for information in a decades-old cold case involving the suspicious death of an 18-year-old who died in a house fire in Hooksett.

According to New Hampshire State Police, Richard Biron died on May 6, 1995, after a fire broke out at a home on South Main Street. Investigators at the time determined the circumstances surrounding the fire were suspicious and believed the blaze may have been intentionally set.

Authorities said the case has remained open for nearly 30 years and is now being highlighted again by the department’s Cold Case Unit in hopes of generating new leads.

According to officials, Biron was just 18 years old at the time of his death. No arrests have been announced in connection with the case, and investigators continue to treat the incident as a suspicious death potentially linked to arson.

State police are asking anyone who may have information—no matter how small—to come forward. Tips can be submitted directly to the New Hampshire Cold Case Unit through the state’s official website or by contacting investigators via email.

Officials emphasized that even decades later, new information could prove critical in helping bring answers to the victim’s family and potentially identify those responsible.

The case remains under active review. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the New Hampshire State Police Cold Case Unit.
