Centennial, CO – A vehicle crash sent a car over a retaining wall, injuring a driver.

According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just before 6:30 p.m. to Topgolf in Centennial after a vehicle went over a roughly 30-foot retaining wall. The car flipped and landed upside down in a ravine below.

Deputies rendered aid at the scene until South Metro Fire Rescue crews arrived and extricated the driver from the vehicle. Authorities said the driver, identified as a woman, was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

Images released by officials show the overturned vehicle at the bottom of the embankment, with emergency crews working in the area above and below the wall.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. According to the sheriff’s office, the incident remains under investigation.

The crash occurred near a commercial area, and responders were visible from nearby businesses and roadways during the rescue effort.

For evening visitors and workers in the area, emergency activity may have caused temporary disruptions near the Topgolf location.

No additional injuries were immediately reported.
