Bourbonnais, Illinois — A free community Easter egg hunt will bring families to Perry Farm Park on Saturday, March 21.

The event begins at 10 a.m. along the Perry Farm Park trails and is open to children ages 10 and younger, according to the Bourbonnais Township Park District.

Organizers say families can hop along the park’s trail system collecting eggs while celebrating the spring season with community partners including the Village of Bourbonnais and the Village of Bradley.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own basket or bag for collecting eggs during the hunt.

Multiple trail access points will be available for families arriving from different directions, including:

  • Coyne Street
  • Bisallion Avenue
  • Cavalier de LaSalle Park
  • Exploration Station
  • Valley Avenue

The event will also feature opportunities to meet and take photos with the Easter Bunny.

According to the park district, photo opportunities will take place before the hunt from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. near Coyne Street, and after the hunt from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Perry Farm Park gazebo.

No advance registration is required, and attendance is free to the public.

Community egg hunts are among the park district’s seasonal events designed to bring residents outdoors and connect families with local parks and trails. The event may be especially appealing to young families and students looking for free weekend activities in the area.
