Wisconsin – A biting north wind cuts across the Fox River this morning as temperatures hover near 15 degrees under stubborn gray skies. Sidewalks crunch under boots, and any untreated surface remains slick in spots after the deep freeze.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, clouds gradually break today with highs only reaching 28. Winds ease by afternoon, but the air stays sharp. Skies clear tonight, and temperatures drop to around 17 with calm conditions.

Monday brings a noticeable shift. Sunshine returns and highs climb to 41 as south winds increase to 10 mph, with gusts near 20 mph. That modest warmup continues into Tuesday, when highs reach 43. However, a rain and snow mix develops after 9 a.m. Tuesday before tapering. Little accumulation is expected, but timing could create slushy stretches on I-41 and Highway 172 during the morning drive.

This is flash-freeze season in northeast Wisconsin. Snowmelt during milder afternoons can refreeze quickly after sunset when readings dip back into the 20s. Watch for black ice on bridges and shaded roads.

Midweek turns quieter with slight rain chances Wednesday and Thursday. Highs rise to 44 Wednesday and 47 Thursday. By Friday, rain becomes likely and temperatures push into the mid-50s. Early signs point to above-normal readings late week and into the 6–10 day window.

March adds nearly 90 minutes of daylight here in Wisconsin, and clocks spring forward at 2 a.m. next Sunday, March 8. Spring warmth is building, even if winter still sneaks in a few flakes.

Five Day Outlook for Green Bay, Wisconsin:
Monday: Mostly sunny, high 41.
Tuesday: Rain/snow mix, high 43.
Wednesday: Slight chance rain, high 44.
Thursday: Chance rain, high 47.
Friday: Rain likely, high 55.
