North Carolina – Low gray clouds hang over Charlotte this morning, and temperatures sit near 48 degrees under an overcast sky. A few pockets of patchy fog linger before 9 a.m., especially along I-77 and I-85, briefly lowering visibility for early drivers.

Skies gradually brighten through late morning. Sunshine breaks out this afternoon, pushing highs to around 67 degrees. Winds stay calm, and the air feels mild for late February.

Tonight turns mostly clear with lows near 44 degrees. Sunday delivers a true spring tease as March begins. Expect mostly sunny skies and highs soaring to 74 degrees. Outdoor plans will feel more like April than late winter.

Clouds return Sunday night with lows near 40. Monday trends cooler and mostly cloudy, with highs dropping sharply to around 49 degrees. A 20 percent chance of rain develops after 1 p.m. Light northeast winds add a brisk feel.

Monday night dips to near 35 degrees with a slight chance of rain. While no wintry mix is expected, cooler air will remind the Carolinas that winter has not fully released its grip.

Tuesday stays cloudy with highs near 51. Temperatures rebound by Wednesday, climbing back to 70 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Late week turns warmer still, with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s by Thursday and Friday. A few scattered rain chances return late week as moisture increases.

Nationally, Arctic air presses across the northern states while record warmth expands across the Southwest. The Carolinas sit in between, riding sharp swings between cool snaps and spring warmth.

Are you feeling the spring vibes yet, or noticing cooler pockets in your neighborhood this morning?
