Georgia – Headlights glow through thick fog across metro Atlanta this morning, and visibility drops below a mile in spots. Drivers along I-75, I-85, and I-285 are moving through hazy gray air as a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m.

Temperatures sit near 53 degrees at Hartsfield-Jackson, with damp air and low clouds limiting visibility. Slow down and leave extra space between vehicles. Low visibility can quickly create hazardous driving conditions.

Meanwhile, a Flood Warning continues for Big Creek near Alpharetta through this evening. Minor flooding is ongoing, and portions of nearby greenways and low-lying areas may remain closed. Never drive through flooded roads. Most flood-related fatalities occur in vehicles.

Conditions improve later today as clouds gradually thin and highs reach near 69 degrees. The fog lifts by late morning, revealing calmer weather by afternoon.

Sunday brings a true spring tease, with mostly sunny skies and highs near 74 degrees. March begins Sunday, and the warmer air will feel like early spring across north and central Georgia.

Monday cools slightly, with highs near 64 degrees and a brisk east wind. Tuesday trends mostly cloudy with highs near 62. By midweek, temperatures rebound into the low 70s.

Late week signals even stronger spring warmth. Highs could approach the upper 70s to near 80 by Friday as a broad warm pattern builds across the South. Nationally, Arctic air pushes across the northern states while record warmth spreads in the Southwest. Georgia sits on the milder side of that divide.
