Indiana wakes up under a gray sky and a sharp 23-degree chill across Fort Wayne. A steady northwest wind near 15 mph pushes wind chills into the low teens. Light snow showers earlier left thin coatings west of US-31, and drifting snow continues across open fields. Drivers on I-69 and US-30 should watch for slick stretches, especially on rural roads.

According to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana, a few remaining flurries are possible this morning. Blowing and drifting snow could briefly reduce visibility in exposed areas. Highs reach near 30 degrees this afternoon with partly sunny skies, but pavement temperatures remain cold enough for spotty refreeze tonight as lows fall near 18 degrees.

A gradual shift begins Tuesday. Highs climb to around 38 degrees under partly sunny skies. By late Tuesday night, a 30 percent chance of rain and snow develops after 10 p.m. Temperatures hover near 28 degrees, so any mix could create slushy patches before daybreak Wednesday.

Wednesday turns mostly sunny with highs in the mid-30s. Another 30 percent snow chance arrives Wednesday night, followed by a 50 percent chance of snow Thursday with highs near 35 degrees. While heavy snow is not expected, light accumulations can still impact travel during the morning commute.

By Friday, sunshine returns and temperatures rebound into the mid-40s. Early 6-to-10-day trends point toward milder air building into early March, offering hints of spring warmth across northern Indiana.

Five Day Outlook for Fort Wayne, Indiana:
Monday: Partly sunny, high 30.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, high 38.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, high 36.
Thursday: Chance of snow, high 35.
Friday: Sunny, high 46.
