Pennsylvania starts the day with light snow drifting across State College, coating sidewalks and softening the morning skyline. Temperatures sit near 28 degrees, and northwest winds gust up to 40 mph, kicking up patchy blowing snow. Visibility drops at times along I-80 and Route 322, where slushy stretches linger from earlier bursts.

According to the National Weather Service in State College, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 p.m. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch are possible across central Pennsylvania. Gusty winds will continue through midday, creating slick spots and reduced visibility during the late-morning commute.

Snow showers taper this afternoon, and highs climb to the mid-30s. Even with slight melting, the freeze-thaw cycle could create refreeze issues tonight as lows drop near 16 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Watch for black ice on untreated roads and parking lots after sunset.

Tuesday turns mostly sunny with highs near 30 degrees. Another system moves in Tuesday night with a 90 percent chance of snow. New accumulations between 1 and 3 inches are possible into early Wednesday, potentially impacting early travel again.

By Wednesday afternoon, temperatures rebound into the low 40s with a mix of rain and snow showers. A few additional light snow chances linger into Thursday before calmer weather arrives Friday with highs near 40. Early 6-to-10-day outlooks hint at moderating temperatures into early March, offering gradual spring warmth across central Pennsylvania.

Five Day Outlook for State College, Pennsylvania:
Monday: Snow showers, high 36.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, high 30.
Wednesday: Rain/snow chance, high 42.
Thursday: Snow likely, high 37.
Friday: Mostly sunny, high 40.
