Las Vegas, Nevada – Triple-digit temperatures are tightening their grip on southern Nevada, with Las Vegas expected to hit 109°F Friday and climb to 110°F by Sunday. A summer weather alert remains in effect as the city endures its hottest stretch of the season so far.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, excessive heat will dominate the region through at least Tuesday, July 15, with daytime highs near 109°F to 110°F each day. Overnight relief remains minimal, as lows only dip to the low-to-mid 80s, adding to heat stress risks.

Drivers on I-15 and U.S. 95 should prepare for vehicle overheating and tire blowouts. Emergency officials urge residents to avoid strenuous activity between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., stay hydrated, and check on vulnerable neighbors. Power usage is expected to surge as residents rely heavily on air conditioning.

Weekend conditions remain dangerously consistent:

  • Friday–Sunday: Highs at 109°F–110°F, clear skies, light southeast winds
  • Nights: Lows between 82°F and 85°F, mostly clear skies

Looking ahead:

  • Monday and Tuesday (July 14–15): Sunny and hot, highs near 110°F
  • Tuesday night: Mostly clear, low around 83°F

This persistent heat dome shows no signs of breaking. Limit travel during peak heat hours and keep water in your vehicle. Stay tuned — updates will follow if heat advisories are extended.
