Miami, Florida – Storms will strike Miami by mid-afternoon Saturday, bringing drenching rain, dangerous lightning, and potential flooding to South Florida’s busiest roadways.

According to the National Weather Service in Miami, showers and thunderstorms are likely after 2 p.m. Saturday, especially impacting coastal zones and major corridors like I-95. The chance of precipitation sits at 60%, with storms possibly continuing into the evening. Though rain totals may remain below a tenth of an inch, localized downpours could be higher in thunderstorms.

Southwest winds around 10 mph and highs near 87°F will make it feel muggy before storms arrive. East winds overnight will keep conditions humid with lows near 81°F. Boaters and beachgoers should use caution as visibility could drop quickly in heavy rain.

Sunday brings another round of afternoon storms, with near-identical timing and conditions. Monday may offer a brief window of clearer skies, but another 60% rain chance arrives Tuesday afternoon.

Residents should avoid outdoor activities during peak storm hours (2–6 p.m.), especially on Saturday and Sunday. Charge electronics in case of isolated outages, and monitor local alerts for real-time storm tracking.

📆 Five-Day Miami Forecast (June 27 – July 1):

  • Friday: T-storms likely after 5 p.m. | High 87°F / Low 82°F
