Paducah, KY – A powerful EF-3 tornado struck Poplar Bluff, Missouri, with winds reaching 138 mph. The storm caused significant damage across the area.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Paducah, preliminary tornado surveys confirmed widespread damage. In Indiana, Gibson and Pike counties suffered EF-2 tornadoes. One tornado hit five miles west of Somerville, reaching peak winds of 115 mph. Another in Oakland City had estimated winds of 117 mph. A third EF-2 tornado in Algiers recorded peak winds of 120 mph.

Severe storms moved through the region, leaving homes and businesses damaged. Emergency crews are assessing the destruction and assisting residents. Authorities urge caution as cleanup begins.

The NWS in Indianapolis assisted in surveying the tornado damage. More updates will follow as assessments continue. Residents should stay informed and follow safety advisories.
