Wisconsin Routine Traffic Stop Leads to Kidnapping Arrests of Three Milwaukee Men

Kenosha County, WI – A routine traffic stop for speeding in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, has led to the unexpected arrest of three Milwaukee men on kidnapping charges. 

According to Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department reports, it began during a late-night stop on January 7th, when a kidnapping incident was uncovered following the apprehension of a vehicle traveling at high speeds. The Deputy conducting the stop noticed one of the passengers had visible facial injuries and blood-stained clothing, sparking an immediate investigation. This led to the revelation that the injured man had been kidnapped by the other occupants of the vehicle.

Further complicating the case, the kidnapped individual, identified as Rafael-Alfonso Farjardo-Gonzalez, was under investigation by Milwaukee Police for a child sex crime. Following an interview with Milwaukee Police Detectives, Farjardo-Gonzalez was taken into custody.

The suspects, Edwuin Toro-Araque, Lebys Joaquin-Salas, and Marco Toibares-Trojillo, have been arrested and charged with kidnapping, and are currently detained in the Kenosha County Jail.

This incident highlights the crucial role of routine traffic stops in detecting and preventing major crimes. The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department has praised the deputies involved for their alertness and proactive law enforcement efforts.
