York County, SC – Authorities are again drawing attention to a long-unsolved missing person case involving Michelle Renee Calvert, who disappeared in May 2017 after being last seen in Rock Hill.
According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, Calvert was officially reported missing on May 18, 2017, after failing to return home to Jacksonville, Florida. Investigators said she was last seen on May 8, 2017, at her son’s residence in Rock Hill, located in York County just outside the Charlotte metro area.
Calvert, who was 55 at the time of her disappearance, had planned to return to Florida by May 13, 2017, but never arrived. Her vehicle was later discovered on May 30, 2017, in Charlotte, North Carolina, raising concerns about her whereabouts and safety.
Authorities describe Calvert as a Black woman with black hair and brown eyes, standing approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing around 200 pounds. She would now be 63 years old.
Investigators have not publicly identified any suspects, and details surrounding her disappearance remain limited. Officials continue to urge anyone with information—no matter how small—to come forward.
The case remains open, and law enforcement hopes renewed awareness may generate new leads. Tips can be submitted to local authorities or Crime Stoppers.
