Billings, MT – The Absaroka and Beartooth Mountains will be under a winter storm warning from 3 a.m. Thursday through 3 p.m. Friday. Total snow accumulations between 9 to 15 inches are expected, with winds gusting up to 30 mph.
The National Weather Service warns that travel in high country areas may become difficult or impossible. Outdoor recreation in these areas will be significantly impacted by the heavy snowfall. Visitors to the region are advised to prepare for hazardous conditions and carry emergency supplies.
