Oklahoma City, OK – Freezing temperatures will hit northern Oklahoma this morning, with patchy frost expected in central areas. Early Wednesday temperatures could drop to the low 30s, posing a threat to sensitive outdoor vegetation.

Fire weather is a growing concern. Low humidity and dry fuels are expected to create elevated fire weather conditions in western and northern Oklahoma from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Residents should be cautious with outdoor burning and take steps to protect plants from the freeze. The National Weather Service will continue monitoring conditions throughout the week.
