Cheyenne, Wyoming – Dense fog continues to cause hazardous driving conditions across parts of Wyoming and Nebraska early Saturday morning, with visibility dropping below one-half mile. The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory that remains in effect until 10 a.m. MDT, impacting areas including the South Laramie Range, Cheyenne County, and parts of Laramie County.

According to the National Weather Service, motorists should prepare for difficult driving conditions, especially on highways near the Colorado border. The fog is expected to be patchy, with freezing conditions at higher elevations above 7,000 feet, creating slick spots on bridges and overpasses. Freezing fog is also a concern, further worsening road conditions.

Areas most affected include Vedauwoo, Buford, Pumpkin Vine, and cities like Cheyenne and Sidney. Travelers should exercise extreme caution, slow down, and use headlights to improve visibility. It’s crucial to maintain extra distance from other vehicles on the road.

The advisory is expected to last until mid-morning, with conditions improving as temperatures rise. However, drivers should continue to monitor local weather updates as more advisories could be issued if conditions worsen.
