Green Bay, Wisconsin — Light, powdery snow is expected to move into parts of northeast Wisconsin this evening and continue into early Wednesday, with the highest chances south of Highway 10, potentially creating slick travel conditions in spots.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, the best window for snow will be from mid-evening through pre-dawn Wednesday, when chances climb to 70 to 80 percent near and south of Highway 10. Elsewhere across the region, snow chances remain lower but increase to around 30 to 50 percent Wednesday afternoon and evening.
Snowfall amounts are expected to remain light, with most locations picking up a dusting to less than an inch. While totals will be minor, untreated and secondary roads could become slippery, particularly during the overnight and early morning hours.
Forecasters say brief reductions in visibility are possible if snow showers become slightly heavier, though widespread impacts are not anticipated. Drivers are urged to slow down and allow extra time for the Wednesday morning commute, especially in areas that see steadier snow overnight.
Snow chances gradually taper later Wednesday, with no significant accumulation expected beyond early-day impacts. Additional updates will be issued if snow coverage or timing changes.
