Milwaukee, WI – Residents across southeastern Wisconsin will experience a mild weekend before temperatures dip sharply heading into New Year’s week.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Saturday’s high of 48 degrees will give way to cooler conditions starting Sunday. Rain is possible early Sunday morning but should clear by the afternoon, with a high near 42 degrees. Monday will be sunny with temperatures hovering in the low 40s, but colder air will begin moving in by Tuesday.
The NWS forecasts a chance of rain and snow mix Tuesday night into Wednesday, with lows dropping into the mid-20s. By New Year’s Day, daytime highs will struggle to reach 31 degrees, accompanied by partly cloudy skies. Motorists should watch for slick roads midweek, particularly during the Tuesday evening commute.
The extended forecast includes below-freezing lows by Thursday and Friday, with highs only reaching the low 20s. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly for colder temperatures and possible travel disruptions.
