Green Bay, WI – A cold front sweeping through Wisconsin today is bringing strong winds and cooler temperatures to Green Bay and surrounding areas. Commuters and residents should brace for wind gusts reaching 30 to 45 mph and temperatures that will steadily decrease throughout the day. By afternoon, highs will slide from around 50°F early this morning to the 30s by evening, creating potentially hazardous conditions on local roadways, including stretches along I-41.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), winds from the northwest will pick up in intensity by mid-morning. This shift in weather, paired with the dropping temperatures, poses challenges for those traveling or spending time outdoors. The gusty conditions could cause reduced visibility and make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles.

Tuesday promises calmer weather, with sunny skies and highs peaking near 48°F. Winds are expected to subside significantly, giving Green Bay a break from the gusty conditions. However, temperatures overnight will dip to a chilly 29°F, prompting residents to bundle up and prepare for cooler mornings.

By midweek, changes are on the horizon again. Wednesday afternoon brings a 40% chance of rain, intensifying into showers by nightfall. Highs will reach around 51°F, but wind gusts up to 21 mph are likely to accompany the rain.

Thursday will see temperatures hovering at 51°F with partly sunny conditions. A mild warm-up is forecast for Friday, with sunshine and a high near 54°F.

Residents should remain alert for updates and take necessary precautions during today’s windy conditions. Drive with care and avoid parking under trees or unstable structures during peak wind gusts.
