According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Green Bay, affected areas include Wood, Portage, Waushara, Brown, Outagamie, Winnebago, Shawano, and Manitowoc counties, among others. The heaviest snowfall is forecast for Door, Kewaunee, and Manitowoc counties, where up to 8 inches could fall.
Motorists should expect snow-covered roads and reduced visibility, with some areas seeing visibility drop to half a mile or less. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation urges drivers to slow down, allow extra travel time, and check road conditions by dialing 511.
Snowfall is expected to taper off by Saturday evening, but lingering flurries and slick roads may persist into Sunday. Residents are advised to exercise caution while traveling and prepare for potential delays.
