Green Bay, WI – Northeast Wisconsin is bracing for a winter storm tonight, followed by dangerously cold temperatures lasting through next week. Snowfall, ice, and subzero wind chills will create hazardous conditions across the region.

According to the National Weather Service, snow is expected to begin around 6 p.m. tonight and continue into Saturday morning. Total accumulations of 4 to 6 inches are expected, with blowing snow reducing visibility. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for east-central, north-central, and northeast Wisconsin until 9 a.m. Saturday. Travel may become treacherous, and officials urge drivers to use caution.

Saturday will remain cloudy, with occasional snow showers and a high near 30°F. Winds will pick up in the afternoon, making travel difficult. By Sunday, Arctic air will move in, dropping temperatures drastically. Highs will struggle to reach the single digits, while nighttime lows will fall below zero.

Starting Monday, wind chills between -20°F and -30°F are expected, with the coldest temperatures hitting Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Frostbite can occur in minutes at these levels. Residents should bundle up, avoid prolonged exposure to the cold, and prepare homes and vehicles for freezing conditions.
