Green Bay, Wis. – Gusts topping 40 mph could sweep through east-central Wisconsin Monday afternoon, making for a blustery and damp start to the week. Minor snow accumulations are also possible in the far north, including Woodruff and Manitowish.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, light showers are spreading over much of central and north-central Wisconsin through early afternoon, with rainfall totals reaching up to 0.25 inches in spots like Rhinelander, Crivitz, and Wausau. Winds from the west and northwest are expected to intensify late Monday morning, peaking in the early to mid-afternoon hours, particularly across the Fox Valley and Lakeshore.

Appleton, Green Bay, and Oshkosh may see gusts between 35 and 40 mph, especially from 2 to 5 p.m., which could down small branches and make high-profile vehicle travel challenging. Residents in northern counties such as Vilas and Oneida may encounter minor snow alongside light rain.

Drivers should secure loose outdoor items and delay non-essential travel during peak wind periods. With wind chills dipping into the 20s by evening, layered clothing is recommended for anyone spending time outdoors.

Wind advisories remain possible through tonight, with calmer, drier conditions expected to return Tuesday.
