Beaver Dam, WI – Six people were arrested in Dodge County last week on suspicion of operating while intoxicated, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office. The arrests were part of the agency’s ongoing effort to keep impaired drivers off Wisconsin roads.
According to the sheriff’s office, the arrests occurred between Thursday, Sept. 4, and Monday, Sept. 8, across several towns in the county. Officials said cases ranged from alcohol-related OWI arrests to those involving restricted controlled substances.
On Sept. 4, deputies arrested 27-year-old Haley Elizabeth Brabant of Fox Lake for allegedly driving under the influence of a restricted controlled substance. The next day, two more arrests were made, including 27-year-old Dangelo Treyvionn Williams of Milwaukee and 47-year-old Christopher James Pospychalla of Valders. Deputies said Williams’ case also involved restricted substances, while Pospychalla was cited for OWI after a stop in the Town of Herman.
That same day, Sept. 5, deputies arrested 57-year-old John Jeptha Gay of Jefferson following what the sheriff’s office described as a traffic pursuit in the Town of Ashippun.
Two more arrests followed over the weekend. On Sept. 6, 38-year-old Alejandro Guevara Mendoza of Madison was arrested in the Town of Calamus. On Sept. 8, 41-year-old John Francis Paulsen II of Lake Mills was taken into custody for misdemeanor OWI in the Town of Lowell.
The sheriff’s office emphasized that posting OWI arrest information serves as a deterrent. In a public statement, officials reminded drivers that impaired driving is a choice and said their goal is to prevent fatal crashes caused by intoxicated motorists.
