Green Bay, Wisconsin – Showers and isolated thunderstorms are moving through northeast Wisconsin this morning, with wet roads and reduced visibility impacting travel on major routes including I-41 and US-141 through at least midday Friday.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, scattered showers and a few storms will continue through the morning before gradually diminishing this afternoon. High temperatures will range from 59 to 70 degrees, with clouds decreasing and conditions improving later in the day.
Cities including Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, and Manitowoc may see brief downpours during the morning commute, with minor ponding possible on roadways. While severe weather is not expected, isolated lightning and short bursts of heavier rain could still slow traffic.
Conditions turn quieter heading into the weekend, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the low to upper 60s on Saturday and Sunday. Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected to arrive Monday, potentially bringing renewed travel impacts.
Drivers should remain alert for slick roads early today and allow extra time for travel. Conditions will steadily improve by late afternoon, with additional updates expected if any stronger storms develop.
