Fitchburg, WI – A motorcyclist died Thursday evening after a collision with an SUV on South Seminole Highway in Fitchburg.
According to the Fitchburg Police Department, officers responded around 5:20 p.m. Thursday to the 2600 block of South Seminole Highway after receiving reports of a two-vehicle crash. Police said a motorcycle traveling northbound struck an SUV.
The driver of the motorcycle, identified as a 54-year-old man from Verona, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office. Authorities said the victim’s name will be released after family notifications are complete.
The Fitchburg Police Department reported no other injuries in the crash. The Village of Oregon Police Department and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
