Madison, WI – Four people were killed, and five others injured in a shooting Monday morning at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, according to police. Authorities confirmed the suspected shooter, a juvenile believed to be a student, is also dead.

The shooting occurred at the school on 4901 East Buckeye Road, prompting a massive police and emergency response. Multiple medical transports were reported as first responders worked to assist victims and secure the area.

Officials have not yet released details on the identities of the victims or the suspect. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office designated SSM Health Dean East on Stoughton Road as the family reunification center, providing support for those impacted.

Nearby schools, including those in Fitchburg, increased police presence as a precaution, though authorities emphasized there is no ongoing threat to the community.

“This is an active and ongoing investigation,” police stated, adding that more updates will follow as details are confirmed.

Residents are urged to avoid the area and allow emergency personnel to continue their work. Support services are being made available for families affected by the tragedy.
