New York, NY – A winter storm is bringing heavy snow to parts of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York, with accumulations expected to reach 4 to 7 inches by early Monday.
According to the National Weather Service, the Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 a.m. Monday. Roads, bridges, and overpasses are likely to become slippery, creating hazardous travel conditions across the region.
The impacted areas include Northern Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London in Connecticut; Western and Eastern Passaic, Bergen, and Essex counties in New Jersey; and Orange, Putnam, Rockland, and Northern Westchester counties in New York.
Drivers are advised to travel only if necessary and ensure they carry emergency supplies, including a flashlight, food, and water. Officials recommend checking local Department of Transportation updates for road conditions.
