Winter Storm Warning: Up to 36 Inches of Snow in Trinity County Until 8 PM Wednesday

Trinity County, CA – A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Trinity County, beginning at 2 a.m. Wednesday and lasting through 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Eureka.

The storm is expected to bring 6 to 15 inches of snow above 3,500 feet, with wind gusts reaching up to 40 mph. Snow levels will begin around 4,500 feet Tuesday evening before dropping to 3,000 feet late Wednesday afternoon.

Travel along Highways 3 and 36 could be difficult due to heavy snowfall and reduced visibility. Officials advise carrying emergency supplies if travel is necessary.
