Winnipeg Woman Robbed at Knifepoint Near Main Street

Winnipeg, MB – A Winnipeg woman in her 40s was robbed at knifepoint Friday night at a bus stop near Main Street and Mountain Avenue.

According to Winnipeg Police, the robbery occurred around 9:30 p.m. An unknown male approached the victim from behind, brandishing a knife. The suspect demanded her property before fleeing the scene. The woman was not injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as an Indigenous male, approximately 5’7” tall, with a stalky build. He had a shaved head and wore a medical-type mask during the robbery. Police are continuing their investigation, and no arrests have been made.

Winnipeg Police’s Central Reporting Unit met with the victim, and the Major Crimes Unit has taken over the case. They are asking anyone with information to contact the Major Crimes Unit or Crime Stoppers.
