Winnipeg, MB – Winnipeg Police seized $250,000 worth of drugs and arrested eight people in a major anti-gang operation. Authorities also recovered two firearms, body armor, and $40,000 in proceeds from crime.

The investigation, launched in December 2024, targeted a gang-operated drug network in Downtown and West End neighborhoods. On January 15, 2025, police executed two residential search warrants with support from the Tactical Support Team and Community Support Units.

At a residence on De La Seigneurie Boulevard, police reportedly seized 1,900 grams of cocaine, 8,014 hydromorphone pills, 300–500 MDMA pills, a loaded handgun, and drug trafficking materials.

A second raid on Langside Street reportedly recovered a shotgun, ammunition, crack cocaine, hydromorphone pills, and a prohibited taser-style weapon.

Police charged four men and four women with drug and firearm offenses. Four suspects remain in custody while others, including a 19-year-old from Swan Lake, were released on undertakings.

Authorities say the operation dismantled a significant criminal network supplying Winnipeg’s drug trade.
