Boston, MA – A wind advisory has been issued for much of Massachusetts as gusty conditions are set to impact the state tomorrow. The advisory will be in effect from 10 AM to 11 PM EDT on Tuesday, April 8.
According to the National Weather Service, west winds ranging from 15 to 30 mph with gusts between 40 and 50 mph are expected to blow through portions of central, eastern, northeastern, and western Massachusetts. Cities such as Boston, Worcester, Springfield, and Lowell will be particularly affected.
The gusty winds could lead to dangerous driving conditions, especially for high-profile vehicles. The winds are also likely to blow around unsecured objects, potentially downing tree limbs and causing localized power outages.
Residents are advised to secure outdoor items and exercise caution while traveling. Drivers should reduce speeds and stay alert for sudden wind gusts. The wind advisory is expected to expire at 11 PM on Tuesday evening.
