Wilmington, OH – A cold front moving through Tuesday will bring a brief round of showers before cooler and drier weather settles across southwest Ohio for the rest of the week, according to the US National Weather Service Wilmington.
Temperatures will warm slightly early in the week, reaching the upper 50s to near 60 Monday and Tuesday, before dropping again behind the front. By midweek, daytime highs will hover in the 40s to low 50s with overnight lows dipping near freezing, especially Thursday night when patchy frost is possible.
According to the forecast, dry and cool conditions will dominate from Wednesday through Friday with limited rainfall and near- to below-normal temperatures. Another chance of rain returns next weekend as a new system approaches from the west.
Forecasters advise residents in rural and low-lying areas to protect sensitive plants later this week as frost development becomes likely. Despite the chill, skies should remain mostly clear, offering crisp fall mornings and bright afternoons.
Communities including Dayton, Springfield, and Wilmington will see ideal weather for harvest work and outdoor cleanup later in the week.
