Annapolis, MD – When do clocks fall back across Maryland this year? Residents in Baltimore, Annapolis, Silver Spring, Frederick, and Ocean City will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, as Daylight Saving Time officially ends across the state.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Maryland will return to Eastern Standard Time through early March 2026. The “fall back” gives residents an extra hour of sleep, but also ushers in noticeably earlier sunsets as fall deepens.

In Baltimore, sunset on Sunday will occur around 4:57 p.m., while along the Eastern Shore, including Ocean City, dusk will fall closer to 4:54 p.m. Drivers, commuters, and early-evening walkers should plan for darker conditions starting next week.

Local fire and emergency officials also remind residents to check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors while changing clocks—a safety habit encouraged nationwide every fall and spring.

Daylight Saving Time resumes on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” one hour once again.
