PITTSBURGH, Pa. — The Steel City wakes to a crisp, quiet morning under clear skies and light winds drifting off the Monongahela. A stretch of calm fall weather continues early this week before a midweek system brings showers and a cooler slide into late November.

According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, sunny skies and light breezes will make for a comfortable Monday, with highs near 60°F and plenty of blue sky. Winds increase slightly from the southwest through the afternoon, reaching 15 mph at times. Tuesday remains pleasant, with highs in the upper 50s before clouds build late.

By Wednesday afternoon, rain chances rise to around 40%, as a weak cold front moves through western Pennsylvania. The heaviest showers may reach I-79 and I-376 commuters between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., causing slick spots and lower visibility. No severe weather is expected, but drivers should allow extra time during the evening rush.

After the front clears, Thursday turns partly cloudy and cooler, with highs in the mid-50s and a crisp breeze. Another disturbance could arrive by Friday or early Saturday, potentially bringing a mix of light rain or drizzle, but no snow just yet — though forecasters hint that early-winter signals may emerge later this month as La Niña patterns linger.

For now, Pittsburgh’s first week of November stays seasonably mild, ideal for raking leaves, running outdoor errands, or prepping homes before the first true cold snap.
