According to the US National Weather Service in Buffalo, today will be notably cooler and less humid, with cloud cover and a high chance of precipitation throughout the day.

Steady soaking rain and embedded thunderstorms are expected to develop across Western New York and the Southern Tier by this afternoon. The forecast predicts an 85% chance of rain with temperatures ranging from a low of 62°F to a high of 72°F. Northeast winds are anticipated to reach 10-20 mph by the afternoon.

According to the weather outlook, dry conditions will prevail to the north, but the southern regions, especially areas south of Buffalo, will experience significant rainfall. Looking ahead, the weather in Buffalo is expected to improve with sunny skies on Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures reaching up to 77°F and 81°F, respectively.

However, rain is expected to return on Friday, with a 60% chance of showers and a high of 80°F. The weekend forecast remains unsettled, with a 50% chance of rain on both Saturday and Sunday and temperatures in the mid-60s to low 70s. Next week starts with partly cloudy skies and moderate temperatures, providing a brief respite from the wet conditions.
