Reno, NV – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno has issued a Red Flag Warning for Western Nevada and Northeastern California, alongside a Lake Wind Advisory for the Greater Reno area. The advisories will be in effect Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., due to critical fire conditions and dangerous winds.

According to the NWS, the Red Flag Warning includes wind gusts up to 40 mph and humidity levels as low as 9-15%, raising the risk of rapidly spreading wildfires. The Lake Wind Advisory cautions boaters of waves reaching up to 3 feet on Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake, with winds gusting between 30 to 40 mph.

Residents are urged to use extreme caution, stay informed through local updates, and follow any directives from emergency services.
