Western Missouri – Residents of western Missouri can expect a stretch of pleasant weather through Saturday, followed by the return of rain on Sunday. The National Weather Service in Kansas City reports that no hazardous weather is expected throughout the weekend, with temperatures remaining below normal.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday will bring near-record low temperatures, with highs only reaching the mid-70s under partly cloudy skies. Saturday promises more of the same, with slightly warmer temperatures climbing to around 80 degrees.
However, changes arrive on Sunday as showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecast to move into the region. Rainfall amounts are expected to range from 0.25 to 1.5 inches, with the heaviest rainfall centered around the Butler and Nevada areas. The rain is likely to continue into Monday, with a 40% chance of showers lingering.
Looking ahead, temperatures will gradually rise into the mid-80s by midweek, with more scattered showers possible Tuesday and Wednesday. By Thursday, conditions are expected to clear, leading to sunnier skies and warmer temperatures reaching the low 90s.
