Canaan Valley, WV – A powerful winter storm is set to bring significant ice accumulation to Eastern Tucker County, prompting the National Weather Service to issue an Ice Storm Warning from 11 a.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday. A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 a.m. Wednesday as heavy snow continues to fall.

According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, Eastern Tucker County—including Canaan Valley, Thomas, and Davis—will see an additional 2 to 4 inches of snow overnight before the transition to freezing rain begins Wednesday morning.
