Midland, TX – A freeze warning remains in effect for parts of West Texas, including the Chisos Basin, Presidio Valley, Lower Brewster County, and Terrell County, as temperatures are expected to drop as low as 27 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service, the warning, issued early Wednesday, will remain active until 9 a.m. Residents in these areas are advised to take precautions to protect sensitive vegetation, outdoor plumbing, and pets from the freezing conditions.
Frost and freeze conditions can damage crops and unprotected plants, and residents are encouraged to cover outdoor faucets and allow water pipes to drip slowly to prevent freezing. Pets should be brought indoors or provided with warm, dry shelter.
Stay updated on local conditions and prepare for these temperatures to avoid potential damage to property and harm to animals.
