Rensselaer, IN – A late-night crash involving a FedEx truck on I-65 Southbound led to a significant emergency response, with multiple agencies coordinating rescue efforts. The accident occurred at the 208-mile marker, prompting mutual aid from the Remington Fire Department.
According to the Rensselaer Volunteer Fire Department, the collision happened at approximately 11:20 PM Wednesday. The complex rescue operation required the involvement of the Remington Fire Department, Jasper County EMS, Lutheran Air, Indiana State Police, and the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. The incident forced the shutdown of traffic for an extended period as crews worked to extricate individuals trapped in the wreckage.
