Fort Wayne, IN – Showers and thunderstorms are anticipated to affect northwest to north-central Indiana throughout today. The US National Weather Service Northern Indiana has reported that severe weather is not expected this morning; however, isolated storms could produce wind gusts exceeding 40 mph. More storms are forecasted to develop this afternoon and continue into the early evening, carrying a potential for isolated to scattered severe storms.

According to the National Weather Service, confidence in severe weather remains low, but the main threat will be damaging thunderstorm wind gusts, especially from late this afternoon into the evening. The forecast for today includes scattered thunderstorms with temperatures ranging between 86-90°F. Tonight, temperatures will drop to between 69-72°F.

Looking ahead to Friday, showers and storms are likely to occur again with temperatures slightly cooler, ranging from 78-85°F. The chance of storms continues into Saturday, although the likelihood diminishes slightly, with temperatures expected to be between 84-87°F.
