According to the National Weather Service, the first round of storms will arrive Tuesday morning, featuring a line of showers and storms crossing Lake Michigan and moving into the area around sunrise. The primary threats include damaging winds and heavy rainfall. The second round of storms is anticipated for late afternoon or evening, potentially triggered by a cold front. These storms may produce all types of severe weather, including hail, strong winds, and a few tornadoes.
Residents are advised to stay weather aware and ensure they have multiple ways to receive warnings. High temperatures will range from the mid-70s to near 90 degrees on Tuesday, accompanied by periodic showers and storm chances throughout the day. It will be humid before a cooler, less humid airmass moves in midweek.
