Spokane, Washington – Sunshine dominates Spokane skies this week, but a shift to wetter weather is possible just in time for Juneteenth weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will bring another dry, sunny day with highs near 82°F and calm winds picking up slightly by the afternoon. UV levels will remain high, so residents are urged to apply sunscreen, stay hydrated, and limit extended outdoor activity between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Citywide temps stay warm through midweek, peaking at 84°F Wednesday before cooler air and rain chances build late Friday. While Thursday’s Juneteenth holiday should remain mostly sunny and dry with highs near 81°F, a 20% chance of showers arrives by Friday afternoon, increasing to 60% by Saturday. Temperatures will drop back into the mid-70s by the weekend.
Expect mostly clear skies at night through Wednesday, with overnight lows ranging from 50°F to 54°F. Winds stay light across the region but may shift southward ahead of weekend moisture.
Drivers along I-90 and U.S. Route 2 should prepare for reduced visibility and slick roads if Saturday showers develop as expected. Pack a light rain layer for outdoor holiday events and monitor NWS updates for any weekend advisories.
⚠️ Next Update: A stronger system may push into eastern Washington early next week. Check back Thursday for updated weekend rainfall projections.
