According to the USGS, the earthquake struck at 1:17 a.m. local time. The epicenter was 1 km north of Lakeland North at a depth of 44.1 km. The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN) contributed to the data.
Only four people reported feeling the quake. No damage or injuries have been reported. The community intensity map shows weak shaking in the affected area.
Washington experiences frequent seismic activity due to its location along the Cascadia Subduction Zone. Most earthquakes in the region are minor, but experts advise residents to stay prepared.
