According to Washington County Sheriff Keith Sexton, deputies arrested Keirra Nicole Sauls, 22, on Feb. 26 after determining she was allegedly the driver involved in a vehicle crash on Liberty Hill Road on Dec. 30, 2025.
Sauls was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Personal Injury, Driving Left of Center, Driving Without Possession of Vehicle Registration, Duty to Give Information and Render Aid, and Financial Responsibility Law violations.
Sheriff Sexton said deputies located Sauls hiding in the attic of a residence on Liberty Hill Road following an extensive investigation into the crash.
Authorities did not immediately release details about the injured party’s condition. According to the sheriff’s office, Sauls is being held without bond at the Washington County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Feb. 27.
